Rock Enterprises was founded in 2018 on a simple belief: every homeowner in New Jersey deserves quality craftsmanship, honest communication, and a renovation experience that’s as stress-free as possible. Based in Shrewsbury, New Jersey, we have spent over six years building a reputation for excellence one project at a time — earning a perfect 5.0 rating from homeowners across Monmouth County and Ocean County.
As a family-owned and operated business, we bring a personal touch to every job. Our owner, Joseph Coscarelli, is hands-on throughout every project — from the initial consultation to the final walkthrough. This isn’t a company where you meet the salesperson and never see them again. When you hire Rock Enterprises, you work directly with the owner who is personally invested in the quality of your renovation.
With a team of four dedicated professionals, we maintain the agility of a small company while delivering the quality of a large firm. We take on a carefully selected number of projects at a time, ensuring that every client receives our full attention and that every project gets the craftsmanship it deserves. We don’t overextend — we deliver.
Over the years, we’ve completed hundreds of projects throughout Monmouth County and Ocean County — bathroom remodels in Shrewsbury and Red Bank, kitchen renovations in Holmdel and Rumson, tile installations in Middletown and Colts Neck, deck construction in Toms River and Brick, and finish carpentry throughout the region. Each project has added to our expertise and deepened our knowledge of the homes and communities we serve.
Joseph Coscarelli founded Rock Enterprises with a vision of building a contracting company that homeowners could genuinely trust. With years of hands-on experience in all aspects of home renovation — from tile and carpentry to full kitchen and bathroom gut-renovations — Joseph brings both technical expertise and a genuine passion for quality to every project.
As the owner, Joseph is personally involved in every project Rock Enterprises undertakes. He conducts the initial consultation, oversees the work, and performs the final walkthrough with every client. This hands-on approach ensures that the quality and communication standards he has built the company on are maintained on every single job.
Joseph is background-checked, fully licensed as a New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor, and deeply committed to the communities of Monmouth County and Ocean County. He lives and works in this area — these are his neighbors, and he takes that responsibility seriously.
In New Jersey, any contractor performing home improvement work valued at $500 or more is required by law to hold a valid Home Improvement Contractor (HIC) license issued by the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs. This license requires contractors to register their business, carry appropriate insurance, and comply with the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act. Hiring an unlicensed contractor puts you at legal and financial risk — if something goes wrong, you may have no recourse.
Rock Enterprises holds a valid New Jersey Home Improvement Contractor license and maintains full liability insurance. This means that if any damage occurs during your renovation — however unlikely — you are fully protected. Our insurance covers both property damage and personal injury, giving you complete peace of mind throughout the renovation process.
Beyond licensing, a professional contractor brings expertise that protects your investment long-term. Improperly installed tile can crack and allow water infiltration. Poorly fitted countertops can shift and crack. Substandard carpentry can warp and fail. When you hire Rock Enterprises, you’re investing in work that is done right the first time — work that will last for years and add genuine value to your home.
We also handle all necessary permits for work in Monmouth County and Ocean County municipalities. Unpermitted work can create serious problems when you sell your home — buyers’ inspectors will flag it, lenders may refuse financing, and you may be required to tear out and redo the work at your own expense. Rock Enterprises ensures that every project is fully permitted and code-compliant from start to finish.
